Jake Kuyer is an Associate Director and leads the Economics & Sustainability team within Economic Impact Consulting. He has extensive experience applying economics to challenges around the environment and social impact. He has managed numerous projects across the public, private and third sectors covering a broad range of fields. At Oxford Economics, he works with our economic models, such as our bespoke Global Sustainability Model, to embed sustainability into our offerings. He works with clients to understand both their impact and dependence on the environment, and to achieve their sustainability ambitions.

Prior to Oxford Economics, he worked for a multi-national engineering firm focusing on environmental impact, an economics think tank focusing on social value, and a boutique consultancy specialising in environmental economics. He has earned degrees with distinction from the University of Victoria, Canada, and the University of Edinburgh, UK.

James is the Director of Oxford Economics’ economic consulting services in Asia.

James moved to this role from Oxford Economics’ London office, where he headed up a team dedicated to exploring the economic impact of technology. He delivered high profile studies on the growth of the digital economy, the impact of automation and the implications for the labour market.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, James spent over six years in the Government Economics Service. He worked in economics teams of the Cabinet Office, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for Transport. There, he gained experience in microeconomic analysis and impact assessment as well as international macroeconomics, economic risk analysis and energy security. In the FCO, James spent three years working on economic issues in East and South East Asia. He also previously worked for the International Labour Organization.

Jamie joined Oxford Economics in 2022, bringing over 25 years of experience in the IT and Business Services industry. During his career, he has held senior research and management roles at leading technology research companies, including PAC, IDC, HFS Research and Market Prescience. Jamie’s analyst career has largely been spent conducting data analysis, including developing market size/forecast models, conducting quantitative/qualitative survey analysis and performing competitive analysis.

Jamie joined Oxford Economics from the Bank of England, where he worked for 17 years on a range of monetary and financial stability issues to support both the Monetary Policy Committee and the Financial Policy Committee. Most recently, Editor of the Bank’s Financial Stability Report and Financial Stability Papers series, Jamie has written and edited extensively for the Bank’s flagship publications, including the Inflation Report.

Javier Corominas is Director of Global Macro Strategy at Oxford Economics. He is co-responsible for global strategic asset allocation as well the tactical calls across all asset classes. Additionally, he has a significant focus on providing thematic macro strategy research to generate actionable investment advice for asset allocators, portfolio managers and corporate Treasurers.

Javier is a senior macro and multi-asset investment strategist with over 16 years' experience in active portfolio management as well as in independent macro research.

He has a background in macro-economic modelling and forecasting, portfolio optimization and risk budgeting, asset allocation (SAA and TAA), relative value models and global thematic investment research. This is coupled with a demonstrable track record in drawing conclusions for key asset markets, and developing profitable trade and investment strategies in FX, rates and the liquid asset classes.

Prior to re-joining Oxford Economics, he was a Director and Head of Research at Record Currency Management, one of the largest institutional currency managers in the world, with pension funds, insurance companies, family offices and private equity houses as clients globally.

Javier is regular commentator on currency, fixed income and broader global macro themes in the financial media/press and a regular speaker and presenter at global investment conferences and fora.

Javier holds both a First-Class Degree and an M. Phil in Economics from Cambridge University. He has a keen interest in world history and all manner of racquet sports, and is also fluent in Spanish and French.

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Jeremy was educated at the University of Pennsylvania and McGill University, where he received his MA in Economics summa cum laude. He also speaks fluent French.
